Update: I was disappointed with my gel manicure. Less than two weeks after getting it done, the polish started chipping. I believe the gel polish used was Essie, though I'm not sure what base or top coat was applied. In my experience, gel manicures don't usually chip this quickly unless there's an issue with the application or the products used. The regular pedicure has held up much better and hasn't chipped at all. I honestly would have been better off getting regular polish on my nails as well. The gel ended up peeling off my nails, which is not something I've experienced with a properly applied gel manicure. I may return for a pedicure since that held up well, but I don't plan on getting another manicure here. Tonight July 13, was my first visit here. I got a gel manicure, which I haven't had in years, for $35, and a regular pedicure for $28. My nail technician was Blanca. I appreciated that she painted the corners of my nails without me having to ask, since I usually have to remind technicians to do that. While I was there, I asked how much a short acrylic set with gel polish would cost and was told $55. I also asked if they offered Gel-X, but they said they don't. I showed a photo of the style I wanted, and they estimated it would be about $65. The picture was of a Gel-X set with designs on 2 nails I got done elsewhere and paid around that. I think most nail salons should know how to do Gel-X, since it's a popular alternative to acrylics and is takes less time. I would recommend the place if you need to do something quick but if you want gel x, they are not the place.
